1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms form an agreement between you and BetaRoast for access to betaroast.com and related services, features and content. By creating an account, joining a Roast or continuing to use the service, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms, the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Community Guidelines.

If you use BetaRoast for an organization, you represent that you can bind that organization. If you do not accept these Terms, do not use the service.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18, legally capable of entering an agreement, and provide accurate, current account information. One person should use one account unless BetaRoast agrees otherwise in writing.

You are responsible for account security, activity under your account and promptly telling us about suspected unauthorized access. You may not sell, transfer, rent or share your account.

3. BetaRoast’s role

BetaRoast coordinates mobile-app testing between app builders (Developers) and testers (Roasters), including tasks, participation, findings and progress. We do not develop, own, distribute, endorse or security-audit apps submitted by users.

BetaRoast is not affiliated with Google, Apple, Google Play or the App Store and does not guarantee production access, closed-testing acceptance, store review outcomes or any business result.

4. Developer responsibilities

Developers must have the rights and authority needed to share each app, test build, asset, mark and installation link, and remain responsible for accuracy, security, legal compliance and applicable app-store rules.

  • Clearly describe scope, tasks, supported devices, known risks and deadlines.
  • Do not distribute malware, harmful code, credential harvesting or deceptive behavior.
  • Do not require ratings, reviews, purchases or unnecessary personal data as a test condition.
  • Respect honest findings and never retaliate against or pressure a Roaster to change results.
  • Revoke test access when no longer needed and disclose material security incidents.

5. Roaster responsibilities

Roasters must personally test under the device and conditions they report, submit honest results, and keep test builds, links and information confidential.

  • Do not fabricate results, copy findings or use duplicate accounts to inflate activity.
  • Do not redistribute builds, screenshots, private beta links or confidential information.
  • Do not access systems, accounts or data beyond the authorized testing scope.
  • Withdraw or notify the Developer promptly if you cannot complete the work.
  • Report vulnerabilities responsibly and never exploit them.

6. Content, ownership and feedback

You keep ownership of content you submit, including app details, images, tasks and findings. You grant BetaRoast a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license, revocable when the content is deleted, to host, store, display, transmit and format that content only as needed to operate and improve the service.

For feedback submitted to a Developer, you allow that Developer to use, reproduce, analyze and implement the ideas to improve the app without payment unless you agree otherwise. This does not transfer ownership of original work or permit disclosure of personal or confidential information beyond what is necessary.

7. Prohibited conduct

Do not use BetaRoast unlawfully, harmfully, deceptively or in a way that disrupts the platform.

  • No impersonation, fraud, spam, harassment, discrimination or unlawful content.
  • No harvesting user data, stalking or sharing personal data with unauthorized parties.
  • No penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, access-control bypass or unauthorized access.
  • No malware or content that infringes intellectual-property rights.
  • No manipulation of scores, contribution history, participation or test results.

8. Moderation, suspension and termination

We may investigate reports, remove or restrict content, pause a Roast, limit features or close an account where we reasonably believe there is a Terms violation, security risk, fraud or legal requirement. When appropriate, we may explain the reason and provide a way to appeal.

You may stop using BetaRoast and request account deletion through the contact page. Some records may be retained or de-identified where needed for security, dispute prevention, contribution-history integrity or legal obligations.

9. Third-party services

BetaRoast may connect to Google Sign-In, Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, email providers, app stores and external test links. Their terms and policies govern those services. BetaRoast does not control and is not responsible for third-party availability, content or decisions.

10. Service changes and availability

BetaRoast is currently a community beta. We may add, change, suspend or retire features for safety, maintenance or product development. We aim to give advance notice of material changes when practical, but do not promise uninterrupted, error-free service or fitness for a particular purpose.

If paid services are introduced, pricing, payment, refund and service-specific terms will be shown before purchase.

11. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service and user content are provided “as is” and “as available.” BetaRoast does not warrant the quality, safety, accuracy, suitability or outcome of an app, test, finding or user. Keep backups, assess risks and use an appropriate test environment.

The optional English translation assistant is generated by AI. It may lose context or mistranslate technical terms, so review the result before posting and keep important steps, security details and legal or financial information accurate.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BetaRoast and its contributors are not liable for indirect, special, incidental or consequential loss, including lost profit, data, reputation or opportunity, arising from the service, user apps or external links.

Nothing in these Terms excludes consumer rights or liability that applicable law does not allow us to exclude or limit.

13. Responsibility for claims

To the extent permitted by law, you are responsible for reasonable claims, losses and costs arising from your content, app, breach of these Terms or infringement of another person’s rights. BetaRoast will give reasonable notice and an opportunity to participate in the defense.

14. Governing law, changes and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of Thailand without overriding mandatory consumer protections. If a provision cannot be enforced, the rest remains effective. We may update these Terms, display the revision date and provide reasonable notice of material changes through the service or contact channels.

Questions or disputes may be sent to support@betaroast.com or through our contact page.
